I grew up next door to a filmmaker who, at that time, was one of the few people in Europe to own a Phantom high-speed video camera, capable of filming in super slow motion. Working with him, I was fortunate to have had my eyes opened to the magic of filmmaking at a young age. Filming snakes strike at 2,000 frames per second and witnessing the skin of a water balloon slowly peel away as it bursts, revealing a suspended ball of water that gradually falls out of frame.

As a teenager I began to travel, working jobs around the world, from building a house in a Cambodian village to mustering cattle on horseback in outback Australia. Along the way I learnt to document life with my 35mm SLR camera. Then after several adventures, a degree in Marine Biology, and a year studying otters in Spain, I came back to photography with a deepened appreciation for nature and the ocean, and a yearning to express my creativity through making films.

I like to tell stories that encourage people to engage with nature, live healthily and considerately, and to harness one’s creativity. It brings me huge amounts of joy to connect with my clients and the subjects in the stories I tell, to have the opportunity to learn about their fascinating lives, and to share their vision through authentic, considerately crafted films.
